Dick Whittington performance

The Tale of Dick Whittington for narrator and symphony orchestra was performed on June 7, 2026 at First Baptist Church of Beverly, MA, by the North Shore Philharmonic Orchestra, Marshunda Smith conducting. 

I wrote the text (in English ballad meter and rhyme) and the 21 musical segments between mid December 2025 and mid-March, 2026. The musical illustrations use variations of roughly five major themes, and were intended to 'sound British.' I was very pleased to have both a bass clarinet and harp available for the performance. Their colors added something special to the music.
